The work will develop a coherent, whole-systems UK vision for future computing paradigms and provide outputs for UKRI and UK government. It will include academic landscaping, international benchmarking, hori…

The Network Plus will take a whole-systems, technology-spanning approach to future computing paradigms, covering new architectures, hardware platforms, software engineering and distributed compute. Out of scope are primary research projects or large-scale technology development beyond exploratory or pump-priming activities delivered through Network Plus flexible funds; capital investment in infrastructure; commercial product development or procurement activities; single-paradigm or narrowly focused activities unless clearly justified within a broader, whole-systems perspective; and activities that do not engage with the wider community or lack a clear strategy for inclusivity and interdisciplinarity.
