Non-incremental research reducing Alzheimer's disease risk or preventing its development, addressing at least one of two focus areas — identifying or validating risk and protective factors, or developing methods, technologies or strategies that reduce risk or prevent the disease — with clinical research allowed but clinical trials and animal research prohibited, preliminary data required, and community collaboration required for research prospectively enrolling human subjects.
