Pilot effectiveness trials of therapeutic and service delivery interventions for post-acute management of mental health conditions, matched to stage of illness in focus and intensity, evaluating feasibility, tolerability, acceptability, safety and potential effectiveness, testing whether the intervention engages its presumed target or mechanism, and producing preliminary data for a larger effectiveness trial. A clinical trial is required.
