Development of novel theory and methods explaining how genetic and non-genetic factors contribute to complex trait variation across individuals, families and populations, drawing interdisciplinarily on the natural and social sciences, accounting for interdependencies across biological, social and ecological scales, and validated extensively against existing large-scale datasets.
