Organ transplantation research usually organises itself by organ. This program runs across all of them at once, on the view that a mechanism found in one transplanted organ often applies to another.

The program supports multicenter clinical trials, paired with studies of the immune mechanisms behind them, in heart, lung, kidney, liver and intestinal transplantation.

The scope reaches past whole

Multicenter clinical trials with associated immune-mechanism studies in heart, lung, kidney, liver and intestinal transplantation, non-hematopoietic cellular transplantation as replacement therapy, vascularised composite tissue transplantation, and transplantation of bone marrow, mesenchymal stem cells or other immunologically active cells as adjuncts to organ transplantation.
