Advanced Development and Validation of Emerging Technologies for Basic and Clinical Cancer Research
Funds the development and hard technical validation that turns a working cancer research technology into one other laboratories will actually adopt.
The second rung of the National Cancer Institute's technology programme, for teams whose method already works and now has to be made trustworthy.
The entry condition is specific: the major feasibility gaps for the technology or methodology must already have been overcome, and preliminary data has to show it. What remains is further development and rigorous technical validation — the work that per…
Further development and rigorous technical validation of emerging technologies for molecular or cellular characterisation of cancer or for biospecimen handling and quality control, where major feasibility gaps have already been overcome with supporting preliminary data, aimed at adoption by the research community across cancer biology, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, control and epidemiology. Clinical trials are not allowed.
