Specialized Centers pursuing one overarching theme in cancer metastasis through two or three inter- and multidisciplinary basic research projects, using integrative systems-level approaches to explain the non-linear, dynamic and emergent processes involved, and connecting at least two central elements such as early dissemination, microenvironment crosstalk, dormancy, or how metastatic cells respond to therapy.
