Anti-obesity medication works in children. What nobody has settled is how to use it — at what age to start, how fast to let weight come off, for how long, and what has to run alongside it so a child still grows up healthy. This consortium is being built to answer that.

Clinical centre awards in a consortium testing anti-obesity medication treatment strategies in youth — timing of initiation, rate and amount of weight loss, drug class, dose, frequency, duration and adjunct lifestyle therapy — protecting growth, nutrition, mental health and quality of life, with shared protocols, measures, central laboratory and analysis across the consortium.
