Transformative Research Award applications proposing groundbreaking, exceptionally innovative, original or unconventional research on any topic relevant to Down syndrome or its co-occurring conditions, with the potential to create new scientific paradigms, clinical approaches or technologies. No preliminary data are required. A clinical trial is not allowed under this R01 mechanism.
