The MVP Ventures Program is a competitive grants program administered by Investment NSW, part of the NSW Premier's Department, to help New South Wales small businesses commercialize innovative products. Round 3 of the FY2025-26 program cycle opened on 9 March 2026 and closed on 10 April 2026, with up to AUD 3 million available across all successful applicants in that round. The program funds technology commercialization projects advancing a product from Technology Readiness Level 3 through TRL 9 over a project period of three to twelve months.

Two funding streams are available. Stream 1 (Standard) provides grants of up to AUD 50,000 covering up to 50% of eligible project costs, requiring a minimum 50% co-contribution from the applicant. Stream 2 (Priority) provides up to AUD 75,000 covering up to 75% of eligible costs, with a reduced co-contribution requirement of 25%; this stream is available to women-owned or managed businesses, regionally-based businesses, and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander-owned enterprises. The grant minimum across both streams is AUD 20,000. Applications are assessed against three published criteria: innovation, commercialisation potential, and project deliverability.

Eligibility requires an active Australian Business Number, headquarters in NSW, annual turnover below AUD 400,000, and fewer than 10 full-time employees. Applicants must hold intellectual property rights to the innovation before applying — third-party IP arrangements are not eligible. Because Round 3 closed in April 2026, prospective applicants should monitor Investment NSW for the announcement of Round 4, which is expected later in the FY2025-26 or FY2026-27 cycle. The program has been extended with an additional AUD 6 million in the 2025-26 NSW budget, indicating continued funding availability.

Commercialisation of innovative products by NSW-headquartered businesses with fewer than 10 FTE and annual turnover under AUD 400k.
