The AWS Imagine Grant (UK) is an annual unrestricted cash grant program run by Amazon Web Services to support UK-registered nonprofit charities deploying cloud and artificial intelligence technology for social good. The program operates under a two-round annual structure: Round One opened March 19, 2026 and closed June 12, 2026; Round Two opens August 10, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Round One is open to all eligible applicants, while Round Two is invitation-only for organisations shortlisted from Round One. The UK cycle results for Round One are announced July 14, 2026, when Round Two invitations are also issued.

The UK program offers two award tiers. The Pathfinder Award provides up to $100,000 USD in unrestricted cash plus up to $50,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credits, targeting charities deploying frontier AI technologies. The Go Further, Faster Award provides up to $50,000 USD in unrestricted cash plus up to $16,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credits, targeting innovative cloud, AI, machine learning, or IoT projects. Notably, the UK cycle does not include the Momentum to Modernize tier available in the US program. Award amounts are denominated in USD, not GBP. Applicants must hold valid Charity Commission (England and Wales) registration; educational institutions — schools, colleges, and universities — are excluded. Previous winners typically wait one calendar year before reapplying unless the new proposal differs significantly.

Organisations apply through the AWS Imagine Grant portal and may submit one project per award category. AWS also operates separate Imagine Grant cycles in Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Winning proposals typically demonstrate a direct connection between cloud or AI capability and a measurable social-good outcome for beneficiaries. Both the Pathfinder and Go Further, Faster awards include access to project implementation support and AWS training resources alongside the cash component.

Frontier AI and cloud AI/ML/IoT projects at UK Charity Commission-registered nonprofits pursuing social-good outcomes.
