The Chips JU wants specialised academic Hubs of Excellence in critical semiconductor areas, chip design, manufacturing, photonics, power electronics, built around industry-aligned Bachelor's, Master's and PhD programmes. The goal is a bigger, more diverse pipeline of semiconductor graduates who need less time to become industry-ready, complementing existing Chips Act pilot lines, design platforms and Competence Centres.
