This call runs under a Memorandum of Intent between ESA and the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, implemented within the ESA 5G Strategic Programme Line. ESA typically bears up to 50% of eligible project costs, rising to 80% for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises depending on National Delegation approval, with the remainder financed by the tenderer through private co-fundโ€ฆ

ESA wants Demonstration Projects that use converged 5G terrestrial and satellite communication networks for the UK logistics sector -- optimising vehicle routes to cut emissions, freight transport to rural areas, long-route transport of natural resources, unmanned delivery vehicles, and monitoring of ships and trucks. Projects must include at least one pilot inside UK territory with UK-based logistics users.
