This Open Call for Proposals runs under ESA-STAR reference AO10336, in a two-step process: an Outline Proposal, followed if pre-selected by a Full Proposal submitted via esa-star. ESA's co-funding share depends on applicant type -- it climbs as high as 80% for a small business, university or research institute, while a larger company tops out around half. ESA, working with the UK Space Agency, wants Demonstration Projects that deploy satellite communications, navigation, Earth observation or human-spaceflight technology to ease the strain COVID-19 and future pandemics put on the UK healthcare system. Every proposal must include an actual deployment and, wherever possible, a pilot performed within the UK health system, and each company may submit only one proposal.
