Horizon Climate Adaptation: Solutions Knowledge Hub

Funds a €5M project that turns Adaptation Mission pilots into a ready-to-use knowledge base for regions and local authorities.

Between cyclesEuropean CommissionEU

The EU's Adaptation Mission has already paid for more than 50 projects that built and tested real climate adaptation solutions across Europe. That knowledge exists, but it is scattered across final reports and project websites, and regions and local authorities have no simple way to find the parts that apply to them. This topic funds fixing the distribution problem, not the research problem — the …

Coordinating the collection, structuring and active promotion of already-proven climate adaptation solutions across the EU. The project harvests solutions and good practices from the Adaptation Mission's 50+ funded projects and its Community of Practice — plus other relevant Horizon Europe, EU and national programmes — and turns them into a structured, replicable inventory organised around the Mission Implementation Plan's key community systems. That inventory then gets pushed out, including in local languages, to the regional and local authorities that have signed the Mission Charter, mainly through the Mission Implementation Platform's own channels. The project also has to feed lessons back into the EU policy cycle and formally coordinate with the Mission secretariat, the Mission Implementation Platform and the National Hubs, and it is expected to run through to the end of the Mission, i.e. the end of 2030.
