Translational Innovation Hub Network for Lung Health and Infection in Cystic Fibrosis
Funds UK research institutions to build up to three Innovation Hubs that translate new lung health and infection treatments for people with cystic fibrosis.
The overall commitment is £15 million spread over five years across the network. Each Hub proposal has to lay out its approach to industry engagement, business development, and how it will handle institutional communications, and hubs are strongly encouraged to show how they would leverage extra funding from other partners on top of what LifeArc and the Trust provide. The Hub Network is looking for interdisciplinary teams to tackle new and repurposed therapeutics for lung infection and inflammation, prevention and treatment of exacerbations, and diagnosis of infection and inflammation in cystic fibrosis. Each Hub does not need to cover every theme, but must show a clear route to improving lung health.
