ISOS Pilot Mission detailed design — HOST component
Funds the detailed design of an orbiting hub spacecraft that hosts and refuels servicer spacecraft and swappable satellite modules.
HADEA expects the HOST design work to reach Technology Readiness Level 6 by the project's end, measured against the space-sector-specific ISO 16290:2013 TRL scale rather than the general EU definition. If the project uses satellite earth-observation, positioning, navigation or timing data, it must use the EU's own Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS systems for that, not just any equivalent provider. …
HADEA wants the detailed design finished for the HOST component of its ISOS Pilot Mission — a platform able to host multiple servicer spacecraft, in-orbit demonstration experiments, and exchangeable functional satellite modules (satAPPs), equipped with robotic manipulation and refuelling capability. It wants the design coordinated with the mission's other components and the dedicated advisory group.
