AI-Powered Signal Detection in Pharmacovigilance

Funds one project to build AI algorithms, data-source guidance and practical tools for faster, more accurate detection of drug safety signals.

Legal entities established in the UK and Canada are explicitly not eligible to receive funding on this topic. The short first-stage proposal is capped at 20 pages, and the full second-stage proposal at 50 pages, and consortia must meet the IHI's own additional eligibility criteria, including a roughly 45 percent industry contribution. This topic is explicitly exempted from the IHI's usual conditio…

This topic wants AI-powered algorithms and methods for faster and more accurate adverse-drug-reaction signal detection and risk prediction, plus a common data model that lets different data sources — clinical trial and post-marketing data included — be analysed together. It also wants practical recommendations, tools, templates and training so regulators, industry and researchers can trust and adopt AI-based pharmacovigilance.
