SEAI Support Scheme for Energy Audits
Funds Irish SME energy audits with a EUR 2,000 SEAI voucher.
The SEAI Support Scheme for Energy Audits gives eligible Irish SMEs a EUR 2,000 voucher toward a professional energy audit. The audit reviews how the business uses energy, which equipment and processes consume the most, and what actions can reduce energy use and emissions.
The scheme is open to SMEs and other non-obligated entities that are tax compliant, registered in the Republic of Ireland, and spend at least EUR 10,000 on energy per year at the audited site, excluding transport energy. SEAI states that, in most cases, the voucher covers the total audit cost.
Applications are online and SEAI says the voucher is issued automatically when the business meets the eligibility requirements. The company selects a registered participating energy auditor, schedules the audit, receives the report, and the auditor claims payment from SEAI.
