The AI Solutions Development call (code 02-124-K) is a competitive European Regional Development Fund program managed by Innovation Agency Lithuania targeting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Lithuania's industry and ICT sectors. The call funds the development of AI products and solutions — whether for the applying company's own operations or for external end-market users — positioning Lithuanian SMEs to build exportable AI capabilities aligned with EU digitization objectives. The call was effective from 26 November 2025, with a submission window that opened 26 November 2025 and closed on 18 February 2026 after an extension from the original 2 February deadline.
The total ERDF budget for this call is EUR 10,000,000. The maximum grant per project is EUR 138,000. The geographic scope is restricted to the Central and Western Lithuania region — enterprises registered or operating primarily in the Vilnius Capital region are explicitly excluded. Eligible costs include personnel salaries and employer social security contributions, vacation pay, pro-rata equipment and software or license rental, and subcontracted services or works capped at a maximum 15% of total eligible project costs. Indirect costs are reimbursed under a fixed-rate method per national administrative rules section 172.1.
Projects are evaluated on a competitive scoring basis through the national investment portal esinvesticijos.lt, where Innovation Agency Lithuania acts as the managing body. This call must not be confused with the separate and currently suspended AI Solutions Deployment (diegimas) call, which covers procurement and rollout of existing AI tools rather than development of new ones. Future applicants tracking successor calls should monitor esinvesticijos.lt and the Agency's financing calls portal for any new development-focused AI rounds under the 2021-2027 EU programming period.
