Net Load Forecasting Prize
Pays US teams up to $600,000 for day-ahead net load forecasting models.
Every day for 28 consecutive days, competitors submitted forecast results for at least four US locations (Hawaii, Oregon, Texas and Georgia in this round) to the EPRI-run Solar Forecast Arbiter platform, which ranked each team by comparing its forecasts to a benchmark time-of-day persistence-ensemble model rather than through panel review.
