IFIC Linha Modernização da Agricultura 2026 (Aviso 08/C05-i14.01/2026) is a non-repayable grant (subvenção) for small and medium-sized agricultural producers on mainland Portugal whose operations were damaged by storms or flooding. The instrument is part of the IFIC — Instrumento Financeiro para a Inovação e Competitividade — programme, which is funded through Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR, Component C5) and jointly managed by Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) and the Estrutura de Missão Recuperar Portugal (EMRP). Legal basis is Portaria n.º 286/2025/1.

Projects must invest between €400,000 and €1,200,000 in modernising the affected agricultural activity. The non-repayable component covers up to 50% of eligible investment — implying a grant award of €200,000 to €600,000 — with an additional complementary reimbursable financing line (Linha Fomento IFIC Mais, €1.5 billion pool) available to part-fund the remaining investment. The total programme envelope for this notice is €20 million. Applications were submitted through the SIGA-BF portal (recuperarportugal.gov.pt) by 29 May 2026. Only mainland Portugal is covered; separate calls exist for the Açores and Madeira autonomous regions.

Eligible beneficiaries are PME (SME) agricultural producers that can demonstrate storm or flood damage to their existing operations. The call is structured around a verified-damage trigger, meaning applicants must document the calamity event affecting their activity. This was the last known open subvenção window under the IFIC programme as of May 2026. Companies selected for a non-repayable award may simultaneously access the Linha Fomento IFIC Mais loan facility, which provides medium- and long-term debt for up to 50% of the approved project investment.

Modernisation of agricultural activities affected by storms, flooding, or other high-impact structural damage.
