The IFIC Linha Reindustrializar is a non-repayable grant programme managed by Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) under Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), specifically Componente C5 — Capitalização e Inovação Empresarial, governed by Portaria n.º 286/2025/1. The programme supports productive investment and R&D activities by Portuguese SMEs and mid-caps seeking to reindustrialise operations, with calls available for mainland Portugal and the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. Multiple calls have been issued since 2025: the mainland call (Aviso 01/C05-i14-01/2025, pool of €150M, eligible investment €500K–€25M, up to 80% support for R&D and up to 40% for productive investment) closed November 2025; the Azores and Madeira regional call (Aviso 05/C05-i14-01/2025, combined pool of €81.4M, investment €250K–€25M, up to 70–80% support) closed January 2026; and a call for storm- and flood-affected regions (Aviso 06/C05-i14.01/2026, pool of €150M, investment €100K–€10M, up to 80% R&D support) closed March 2026.

Eligibility across Reindustrializar calls is limited to for-profit companies registered and operating in Portugal. Support rates vary by activity type — R&D activities attract higher subsidy rates, up to 80%, while productive investment attracts lower rates of 40–60%, depending on the specific call. Investment floors range from €100,000 to €500,000 per call, with maximum eligible investment up to €25 million. All calls are submitted through the SIGA-BF portal at recuperarportugal.gov.pt.

No Reindustrializar call is currently open as of the research date; the PRR C5 framework remains valid through the PRR programme period, and further calls are expected to be published via the SIGA-BF portal before programme closure. BPF also offers a complementary medium-to-long-term debt financing line, Linha Fomento IFIC Mais (total pool of €1.5B), available to companies whose reindustrialisation project has been approved under any IFIC grant call. Applicants should monitor recuperarportugal.gov.pt for announcements of new calls.
