Startup SG Infrastructure
Provides physical startup infrastructure in Singapore through Startup SG Infrastructure with shared spaces and makerspace resources.
Startup SG Infrastructure is an Enterprise Singapore-backed programme that provides Singapore-based startups with physical workspace and shared facilities across two innovation districts and a specialist water-technology marketplace. The programme is administered under the Startup SG umbrella, with the physical sites developed and managed by JTC Corporation and co-supported by public agencies including A*STAR, IMDA, and NRF. This is an in-kind infrastructure programme — it does not disburse cash grants but instead offers access to plug-and-play spaces, makerspaces, prototyping labs, and proximity to co-located incubators, VCs, and professional service providers.
Three sub-components constitute the programme. LaunchPad @ one-north is a 6.5-hectare site in the one-north precinct serving startups in biomedical sciences, infocomm, media, urban solutions, electronics, and engineering. LaunchPad @ Jurong Innovation District sits within CleanTech Park near Nanyang Technological University and targets startups in advanced manufacturing, urban solutions, and engineering, offering shared makerspace and prototyping facilities. The Singapore Water Exchange (SgWX), established by PUB in 2018, is a global marketplace for water-technology companies and hosts around 30 tenants from 11 countries; applicants must have a water-related application to qualify.
For-profit and non-profit entities registered and operating in Singapore may apply; universities and research organisations are not eligible. There are no cash award amounts, no competitive funding rounds, and no application deadlines in the conventional grant sense. Startups seeking workspace at one-north or JID apply through JTC's space-finding process, while SgWX applications go through PUB. Winning a place in these ecosystems gives startups proximity to the Singapore innovation network, which is particularly valuable for hardware-intensive, deep-tech, and sustainability-oriented ventures that require physical laboratory or prototyping infrastructure.
Provides physical workspace and ecosystem infrastructure at Singapore innovation districts for startups in biomedical, infocomm, clean technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
