This grant funds supporting activity for targeted intervention to help eligible schools improve. RISE teams may arrange for a high-quality organisation to work with a school through its responsible body.

It is for schools identified as eligible through Ofsted judgements. Eligible schools are contacted directly by their relevant RISE regional team; there is no application process.

RISE teams may secure support from high-quality organisations with a strong track record of improvement, such as an LA partnership or a MAT. Targeted intervention is intended to provide bespoke support for schools facing particular challenges.
