Mathematical Sciences Early Independence Fellowship
A fellowship for early-career mathematical sciences researchers building independence.
This fellowship supports ambitious and talented researchers in mathematical sciences to lead their own research plans, establish an independent research niche and begin building a research team. It is for fellows who have completed a higher research degree, have additional postdoctoral experience or equivalent, and can show career consolidation and productivity across past appointments.
The work …
In: research where the majority of research novelty lies within EPSRC’s mathematical sciences remit; interdisciplinary development of novel mathematical and statistical tools to applications; and novel combinations of existing mathematical techniques. Out: applications where the majority of research is within the remits of other EPSRC themes or other research councils; and application of mature or well-established methodologies into applications.
