The competition identifies Flexibility Service Providers for Phase 1 of a Demand Turn Up trial. Phase 1 supports verified DTU activity through the Balancing Mechanism, Demand Flexibility Service, and Local Constraint Market where it continues to operate separately from DFS. It does not fund demand turn down or demand reduction, activity outside the specified markets, feasibility studies, technology development or proposition design without live delivery, or Distribution System Operator flexibility markets during Phase 1.
