OpenNational HighwaysUnited Kingdom

This fund supports capital-cost projects that create positive value, lasting benefits and a meaningful legacy for local people, communities, the environment or the economy.

It is for non-profit groups or organisations near motorways or major roads maintained by National Highways that are currently affected by National Highways roadworks or diversion routes.

In scope are projects that contribute to Economic prosperity, Improving the environment, Community wellbeing, or Equality, diversity, and inclusion. The fund supports capital costs: tangible items rather than day-to-day items, for example arts supply storage but not paints. Projects that have already happened are out of scope because funding cannot be given retrospectively. Applications relating to the Lower Thames Crossing or the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet project will not be considered.
