Building a coupled ocean-wave-sediment model that predicts how coastal geomorphology changes during extreme storms, based on how sediment porosity, grain size and erosion resistance vary along the coast. Aimed at improving storm and emergency preparedness for coastal infrastructure and protection systems, funded through Hurricane Ian disaster-supplemental money.
