Innovative Pilot Mental Health Services Research Not Involving Clinical Trials

Funds pilot mental health services research that is deliberately not a precursor to testing an intervention.

This notice exists because of a gap the institute created itself, and it says so.

The institute now requires an experimental therapeutics model for all intervention studies. But some mission-relevant services research does not involve clinical trials at all, and under that requirement it had nowhere to go.

What is funded here is pilot research that is explicitly **not** an immediate precursor to

Pilot mental health services research consistent with the institute's services research priorities and deliberately not an immediate precursor to testing a service intervention. Clinical trials are not allowed.
