Research to reduce morbidity and mortality in Native American and other Native populations: studies of the causes of health problems, development, adaptation and testing of interventions for health promotion, disease prevention, treatment or recovery, and research on disseminating and implementing strategies to adopt, integrate, scale and sustain them. Interventions are expected to build on community knowledge, strengths and resilience, and to be adaptable to other communities.
