Basic research on understanding and mitigating the deleterious effects of acute exposure to ultra-potent synthetic opioids including fentanyl, carfentanil and nitazenes, and their combinations such as fentanyl with xylazine, and on persistent or delayed pathophysiological effects following acute exposure. Clinical trials are not allowed.
