Development or adaptation of transformative non-invasive or minimally invasive imaging technologies for the living human olfactory system, peripheral and central, at a resolution not currently achievable — drawing on cell-specific biomarkers, fluorescence, optical, acoustic, molecular, hemodynamic or diffusion imaging, for both mechanistic and diagnostic purposes.
