Funds an established heart, lung, blood or sleep researcher's whole programme for up to seven years, replacing the grants they hold today.
This award is not for a project. It is for a person's research programme, and it is designed to take away the machinery around it.
The entry condition is a record, not an idea. An applicant must currently be a principal investigator on at least two research project awards or their equivalent from the institute, with an outstanding record showing they can make major contributions to heart, lung, b…
Long-term programme support of up to seven years for established investigators currently holding at least two research project awards from the institute, with an outstanding record in heart, lung, blood and sleep research, funding a research programme rather than specific aims and replacing the investigator's other institute funding.
