Health information only helps people who can actually reach it, and since 1965 a nationwide network of libraries has existed to close that gap — promoting NLM and NIH resources through hospital, academic and public libraries, health professionals, and community organisations. This notice funds the center that runs the network itself.

The Network of the National Library of Medicine has three parts…

A single Coordinating Center for the Network of the National Library of Medicine, running network-wide administration, evaluation, communication and coordination — common metrics and reporting tools, internal communication and knowledge management, and public-facing platforms including the network's website — alongside companion Regional Medical Library and Network Training Center notices still to come.
