Genomic and Biologic Therapies for ADRD

Funds moving a genomic or biologic therapy candidate for Alzheimer's-related dementias from lab optimisation through to first human testing.

Between cyclesNational Institutes of HealthGlobal

Gene and biologic therapies are opening new ways to treat, prevent or even change the course of Alzheimer's disease-related dementias, but getting one from the lab to a patient is still blocked by delivery, safety, manufacturability and readiness-for-clinic problems. This notice funds clearing those blocks for candidates that already have solid preclinical evidence behind them.

What is funded run

Optimisation and translational development of genomic and biologic therapeutic candidates, with compelling preclinical evidence, for Alzheimer's disease-related dementias — spanning design and manufacturability refinement, pharmacology and toxicology, IND-enabling data generation, and first-in-human evaluation, prioritising frontotemporal degeneration, Lewy body dementia and vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia.
