KC.03/21-30 is Vietnam's National Science and Technology Programme on Research, Application and Development of Mechanical Engineering and Automation Technology, covering the 2021–2030 planning cycle and administered by Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST/MST, operating under domain mst.gov.vn following the 2025 merger with the Ministry of Information and Communications). The 2026 call was announced on 13 May 2026, opened for proposals on 14 May 2026, and closes at 5:00 PM on 12 June 2026 — the most recently opened call in the KC series at time of research. The programme is approved under Decision 458/QĐ-BKHCN (25 March 2024), which establishes the framework for national-level S&T task selection under this programme.
The programme funds national-level (cấp quốc gia) research and development tasks in mechanical engineering, automation technology, industrial automation applications, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing. Award amounts are set on a per-approved-task basis following evaluation and are not pre-announced in the call notice; budgets are drawn from the state budget (ngân sách nhà nước) and governed by Ministry of Finance Circular 03/2023/TT-BTC and MOST Circular 02/2023/TT-BKHCN. Eligibility documentation requirements are governed by MOST Circular 20/2023/TT-BKHCN. Both organisations and individuals (tổ chức và cá nhân) — including research institutes, universities, and companies — may apply, provided they are based in Vietnam.
Applications must be submitted in person or by postal mail to MOST's One-Stop Service Desk at 113 Tran Duy Hung Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Hanoi; there is no online submission portal for this call. The programme follows an annual call cycle under the 2021–2030 KC phase, with the next cycle expected in 2027. Competitive applicants should ensure their proposed tasks align with the approved task-priority list established in Decision 458/QĐ-BKHCN and submit a fully documented proposal package per the Circular 20/2023/TT-BKHCN requirements before the 12 June 2026 deadline.
