Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition: call for European projects

Funds Swiss researchers on European raw-materials supply and circularity projects.

OpenSwiss National Science FoundationSwitzerland

SNSF is Switzerland's national gateway into RAMP, a newly formed pan-European partnership on raw materials, funding only the Swiss side of each transnational consortium. The process runs in two stages: a pre-proposal goes to the RAMP Call Secretariat, submitted alongside a parallel administrative application straight to SNSF, and only consortia invited forward from that stage go on to submit a ful

The call funds research and/or innovation projects that support a sustainable, resilient supply of raw materials and their efficient, circular use, under the new pan-European RAMP partnership that SNSF is joining. Every proposal must clearly address one of six named challenge areas: keeping the primary-source supply of raw materials reliable, opening up secondary (recycled) sources to widen access to raw materials, making design and production use raw materials more efficiently, clearing technological hurdles that block circularity, turning circular-economy ambitions into working practice, or finding new ways to study raw-materials value chains. Proposals must be positioned against the state of the art and build on earlier transnational, European, national, regional or local research and innovation programmes, with inter- and transdisciplinary approaches encouraged.
