Innova Región — Tarapacá (Regional Innovation)

Backs Chilean businesses developing and validating new products and services in the Tarapacá region.

Innova Región Tarapacá 2026 is a non-refundable CORFO subsidy for established Chilean businesses to develop and commercially validate innovations within the Tarapacá region. CORFO co-finances up to CLP 60,000,000 per project, with the subsidy rate determined by company size: micro and small enterprises (annual sales up to 25,000 UF) receive up to 80%; medium enterprises (25,000–100,000 UF annual sales) receive up to 60%; and large enterprises (over 100,000 UF) receive up to 40%. Women-led enterprises receive an additional 10 percentage points on top of their size-based rate. The call opened May 27, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM. It is one of several simultaneous regional Innova Región calls running in 2026.

Eligibility requires applicants to be either legally constituted Chilean entities or natural persons aged 18 or older, with a minimum of 18 months of business operation at the time of application. The applicant must also demonstrate sales income generated within the 18 months preceding the application date — pre-revenue businesses are not eligible. A geographic commitment is mandatory: the innovation project must not only be developed but also operated commercially within the Tarapacá region, meaning legal registration elsewhere with Tarapacá activity is insufficient. The instrument covers the full spectrum from prototype through commercial validation at production scale.

For Tarapacá-based businesses, Innova Región represents the primary CORFO pathway for scaling product and process innovations with substantial public co-financing. The tiered subsidy structure means micro and small enterprises accessing the 80% rate effectively leverage their own 20% contribution into a five-to-one match. Women-led businesses further reduce their out-of-pocket burden with the +10% bonus. Applicants should document 18 months of operations and prior sales income clearly, and present a project plan that demonstrates genuine commercial activity in Tarapacá — not merely legal domicile.

New or improved products, services, and processes from prototype stage through commercial validation in the Tarapacá region.
