Mejora Negocios is a rolling-access cofinancing subsidy administered by SERCOTEC (Servicio de Cooperación Técnica) for established Chilean micro and small enterprises. The program funds two categories of consulting services: standard business consulting, cofinanced up to CLP 400,000, and specialized consulting — encompassing clean production, process improvement, and certification audits — cofinanced up to CLP 1,500,000. For certification audit tracks specifically, SERCOTEC reimburses up to 70% of the total audit cost, subject to the CLP 1,500,000 ceiling. The rolling-window design allows applicants to submit requests outside of fixed annual call periods, with regional offices managing intake on a continuous basis.

Eligibility requires active primera categoría tax registration with Chile's Servicio de Impuestos Internos and annual net sales between 200 UF and 25,000 UF (approximately CLP 7.8M to CLP 975M at current UF rates). Cooperatives qualify when individual associate sales remain within the same threshold. Beneficiaries are required to contribute between 10% and 30% of the approved SERCOTEC cofinancing amount, with the exact percentage determined by the applicant's regional office at time of adjudication. Non-profits that operate as micro or small enterprises may also qualify; individual applicants, universities, and research organizations are ineligible.

Mejora Negocios suits organizations seeking targeted, short-cycle operational improvements rather than capital investment. The program's two-track structure — standard versus specialized consulting — means applicants pursuing certification to access new markets or supply chains can capture the higher subsidy ceiling.
