Semilla Inicia para Empresas Lideradas por Mujeres 2026 is a non-refundable co-financing grant from Chile's Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO) designed to support pre-revenue women-led ventures in validating and commercializing an innovative product or service for the first time. CORFO funds up to 85% of total project costs, providing a maximum of CLP 17,000,000 (approximately USD 18,000 at prevailing rates) per award. The applicant must contribute a minimum of 15% co-financing. The call opened May 12, 2026 and closes June 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM Chile time. The program is open throughout all Chilean regions.

Two applicant types are eligible: natural women persons aged 18 or older residing in Chile, and women-led legal entities registered in Chile. For legal entities, SII tax registration must have occurred no more than 18 months before the call opening date of May 12, 2026. A zero-sales requirement is a hard gate: the venture must have generated no revenue from the proposed solution prior to the call opening. The project objective is to complete technical and commercial validation activities leading directly to a first sale by the end of the grant period. Women-led status must be maintained throughout the entire execution period.

Semilla Inicia Mujeres targets the earliest and most capital-constrained stage of the Chilean startup pipeline — the point just before a first commercial transaction. The 85% subsidy rate and sector-agnostic scope make this one of the most accessible CORFO instruments for women entrepreneurs across all industries. Applicants should document the innovative nature of the proposed solution and its high-growth potential, as CORFO scoring rewards scalability and market differentiation. Applications are submitted through the CORFO online portal; prospective applicants should ensure SII registration timing and zero-revenue status are clearly evidenced in the application package.

Technical and commercial validation of innovative new products/services with first-sale objective.
