CORFO Viraliza — Regional Ecosystem Building

Funds regional Chilean ecosystems with media, events, and training support.

Viraliza is a CORFO (Corporación de Fomento de la Producción) co-financing program that supports legal entities in Chile to design and carry out activities that strengthen the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation across Chilean society. The program funds two categories of activity: Diffusion of Entrepreneurship and Innovation — encompassing events, networking activities, and mass media campaigns — with a maximum co-financing of CLP 50,000,000 per project; and Training for Entrepreneurship and Innovation — transferring entrepreneurship and innovation skills to target populations — with a maximum of CLP 30,000,000 per project. CORFO covers up to 70% of total eligible project costs in both categories, with the applicant organisation required to contribute the remaining 30%.

Eligibility is limited to legal entities established or incorporated in Chile. The instrument is a non-repayable subsidy (subsidio no reembolsable). Viraliza operates on a rolling regional convocation model: CORFO issues individual calls by region throughout the calendar year, with varying opening and closing dates across Chile's different territories. Multiple 2026 regional calls have been issued, with some open and others already closed. The geographic scope of each call corresponds to the region for which it is issued, and applicants must be operating in that region to apply.

Prospective applicants should monitor CORFO's programmes and calls portal at corfo.gob.cl for announcements of regional Viraliza calls relevant to their territory. CORFO's administrative processes for Viraliza are handled through its standard online application system. The program is designed for organisations such as foundations, corporations, universities, industry associations, and other non-profit or civil society bodies seeking to run entrepreneurship promotion activities at regional or national scale.
