Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking (EDCTP3)

Outstanding Research Team Prize

Awards EUR 50,000 to a research team recognised for South-North global-health partnerships on poverty-related diseases.

Two criteria carry equal weight in the judging: scientific contribution and excellence, covering how the team has taken on the programme's priority poverty-related-disease issues and been active in research, capacity-building and networking across the two regions, and impact, covering how effective and equitable the team's South-North partnerships have been and what health-policy-relevant outputs

This prize recognises a team, within one organisation or across several, that has taken on Global Health EDCTP3 programme priority issues in poverty-related diseases. It weighs research, capacity development and networking achievements across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, and effective South-North partnerships that produced health-policy-relevant outputs.
