This prize recognises a male mid-career researcher, permanently resident in a sub-Saharan African country that belongs to the EDCTP Association, who has made significant achievements and continues to lead in his research field. It weighs contributions to strengthening research capacity in sub-Saharan Africa and to South-South and North-South networking within the Global Health EDCTP3 programme.
