Energy Communities and Energy Sharing is a grant call from the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) (Swedish: Energigemenskaper och energidelning). It funds studies into how energy communities and shared-energy arrangements could work in Sweden, and it draws its budget from the Agency's standing research programmes for the future electricity system, resource-efficient buildings and heating.

The instrument is a grant. The full call put up about 30 million SEK in total, shared across all selected projects; the page does not give a per-project minimum or maximum. Funded work falls into two project types: feasibility studies, and investigative studies or syntheses. Across those, projects address physical sharing of energy, virtual sharing of energy, the actors, roles and organisation involved, and the economics and business models behind sharing.

Any actor that can contribute to the call's goals may apply. The page lists, as examples, companies, the public sector, the social-science, humanities, technical and natural-science departments of universities and colleges, and research institutes. A for-profit company therefore has a direct path to apply.

Applications were submitted through the Agency's online system. The most recent round closed on 9 April 2025 at 23:59, with decisions on which projects would be funded planned for September 2025. The page does not publish a numerical scoring scale.
