This scheme funds eligible costs to address life safety fire risks associated with cladding on residential buildings.

It is for the Responsible Entity legally responsible for a building’s external repairs, or a representative acting for that entity. In the social sector, the Responsible Entity is usually a registered provider of social housing or a local authority.

The scheme meets the cost of addressing life safety fire risks associated with cladding. It accepts wholly residential and mixed-use residential and commercial developments in the private and social sectors. It does not offer funding for non-residential buildings, buildings under 11 metres, buildings over 18 metres in London, or buildings where works started on site before 10 January 2022.
