Expansion and sustainability funding for existing Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence in IDeA-eligible states — growing the institutional faculty base and research cores, or consolidating and sustaining them — restricted to institutions holding three or fewer active COBRE awards at time of application. Clinical trials are not allowed.
