Behaviour in a laboratory is measurable. Behaviour in real life is not, and that gap is why models of how brain activity produces behaviour are thinner than they should be.

Development of next-generation sensors and bioelectronic devices that synchronise with simultaneous brain recordings, and use of the combined sensor and neural data to generate new computational models of behaviour in humans and animal models, addressing the lack of quantitative approaches to behaviour in naturalistic settings.
