BRAIN Initiative: Brain Behavior Quantification and Synchronization- Next Generation Sensor Technology Development
Funds next-generation sensors and bioelectronic devices that record behaviour in step with brain recordings, to build models of how the two connect.
Behaviour in a laboratory is measurable. Behaviour in real life is not, and that gap is why models of how brain activity produces behaviour are thinner than they should be.
This notice funds closing it from the instrument side. What is wanted is next-generation sensor and bioelectronic device development, where the sensor data synchronises with simultaneous brain recordings.
Synchronisation is t…
Development of next-generation sensors and bioelectronic devices that synchronise with simultaneous brain recordings, and use of the combined sensor and neural data to generate new computational models of behaviour in humans and animal models, addressing the lack of quantitative approaches to behaviour in naturalistic settings. Clinical trials are optional.
