J2 ISP Autonomous Solutions Assessment Event
Supports intelligence-led autonomous surveying capabilities that reduce deployed footprint for facilities.
SOFWERX, acting in support of DEFENSEWERX and USSOCOM, is conducting an Assessment Event sponsored by USSOCOM Joint Staff Intelligence (J2) to identify autonomous solutions for facility survey operations. The program targets AI-powered systems capable of conducting interior and exterior facility surveys to reduce the deployment footprint and workload for intelligence personnel. Required capabilities include automated mapping of interior and exterior spaces, AI-assisted modification of facility blueprints, room documentation, recognition of operational systems and equipment, and route automation. J2 is responsible for intelligence operations across USSOCOM, and reducing the manual burden of facility assessment directly supports pre-operational intelligence preparation for special operations missions.
The submission process requires a white paper and quad chart using provided SOFWERX templates, due June 22, 2026. A Q&A teleconference RSVP deadline is June 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Selected participants will attend a Phase 4 in-person Assessment Event at SOFWERX in Tampa, Florida on July 28 through 30, 2026. Participation is restricted to US Persons only; open to industry, academic institutions, and research organizations. No award size or contract ceiling is published; post-award compliance with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity standards may be required. SOFWERX can execute OTA, CRADA, prize, or FAR-based contract instruments.
Applicants must use SOFWERX-provided white paper and quad chart templates; submissions using other formats will not be accepted. Teams with AI-driven mapping platforms, robotics survey systems, or computer vision capabilities for built environment documentation are directly relevant. The June 22 white paper deadline requires near-term action. Contact is Claire Harmon at claire.harmon@sofwerx.org.
