SOFWERX Tech Tuesday is a rolling, week-to-week engagement channel operated by DEFENSEWERX on behalf of USSOCOM, providing innovators with direct access to government stakeholders who shape Special Operations Command procurement and technology strategy. Each Tuesday between 3:00 and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, selected presenters receive a 30-minute virtual slot to showcase a defense-relevant capability to USSOCOM government representatives. Sessions run continuously throughout the year with no fixed application cycle. Participation requires SOFWERX ecosystem membership; slots are booked through the SOFWERX portal once membership is established.

Tech Tuesday is not a direct funding vehicle. It carries no award amount and issues no contract or grant at the point of participation. Its function is pipeline discovery: USSOCOM program managers use the sessions to identify technologies for follow-on engagements including Broad Agency Announcements, SBIR solicitations, and Other Transaction Authority agreements. Eligible presenters include US-registered for-profit companies, nonprofits, universities, and research organizations; individual applicants are not accepted. No minimum team size or TRL requirement is specified in program documentation.

For organizations pursuing USSOCOM funding, Tech Tuesday is best used as an early-stage demand-signal mechanism — a way to validate mission relevance and establish relationships before investing in a formal SBIR or BAA response. Presenters who capture stakeholder interest are typically directed toward active solicitations such as the annual SOCOM SBIR 26.BZ releases. The channel is sector-agnostic within the defense space, covering AI, hardware, robotics, autonomy, and adjacent dual-use technologies.

Defense-relevant technology capabilities across any domain, presented by innovators to USSOCOM government stakeholders in weekly 30-minute virtual showcase sessions.
